OSCEOLA EMPLOYEES SPREAD WARMTH BY COLLECTING BLANKETS AND SWEATERS FOR HOMELESS.
Viswa Palempalli, a certified Project Management Professional at Osceola Consulting’s Technology Delivery Center (TDC) was worried about the homeless population during the spell of unseasonably cold and rainy weather that hit the greater Palm Springs area during year-end, and the New Year, and along with his colleagues did something about it.
Palempalli asked his colleagues at the TDC to donate new, and gently used blankets and sweaters. “Our outreach mission is to warm the hearts of the homeless and spread our warmth of love with donations of blankets and sweaters,” said Palempalli when he kicked-off the blanket drive on January 4th. After January 9th all blankets and sweaters donated were distributed to homeless individuals in the Banning and Beaumont area, and according to Palempalli, “people receiving blankets expressed joy and gratitude in receiving our warm love in chilling cold.”
Steve Rockwell, Vice President Technology Delivery Center indicated that, “During the Holiday Season Osceola Consulting regularly makes charitable donations to assist those less fortunate in the communities where we live and work, and seven organizations received contributions in 2018.” He added, “I would like to commend Viswa Palempalli and the team from the TDC for innovatively furthering Osceola’s commitment to assist those less fortunate by taking the initiative of donating and distributing blankets to provide warmth to the homeless”.
