Osceola Consulting CEO Kevin Narcomey presented the Osceola Consulting Scholarship at the California American Indian Chamber of Commerce, Native American Heritage Month Warrior Awards Luncheon and Scholarship Presentations. The Scholarship was awarded to Tina Marie Charley a Senior at UCLA working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Indian studies with a minor in Public Health. Charley from the Navajo Nation is a non-traditional first generation college student who raised her family before pursuing higher education. In receiving the scholarship Charley said that after completion of her undergraduate studies she, “will apply for a dual Masters Degree in American Indian Studies and Social Welfare to work as a Health Director for the Indian Health Service to address the severe health disparities facing the Navajo Nation.” This is the fourth year Osceola Consulting has sponsored an American Indian Chamber Commerce Scholarships.
